NYFW SS14

Debo confesar que este año, he seguido más que otros años este evento tan especial y esperado. Me he visto unos cuantos desfiles en streaming de los que os voy a hablar ahora. Es súper emocionante poder ver en vivo y en directo lo que esta pasando en el NYFW.  Además, también sigo las cuentas de Twitter e Instagram de los diseñadores y sus embajadoras, y ahi te enseñan fotos del “backstage”, así la espera se hace más emocionante y más amena.

Como buena española, el primer desfile que vi en streaming fue el de DELPOZO. Josep Font ha sabido más que nunca transmitirnos esa pasión por la moda, con su perfeccionismo y detallismo. Destacaron los tonos mostaza, beige clarito y colores claros.

Que os parecen? Os compararías alguno de estos? El segundo desfile que vi fue el de Monique Lhuillier. Qué puedo decir…….. ESPECTACULAR! No hubo una sola prenda que no dijese, LO QUIERO! Esta diseñadora tiene unas manos de oro y un gusto exquisito. Siempre me ha encantado todo lo que hace.. sobre todo, sus vestidos de novia! (jajaja me los conozco TODOS). En su colección SS14 abundaron los colores rojos y fucsias. Justamente son los tipos de tonos que me encantan. Estas han sido las dos colecciones que más me han gustado, y a ti? Cuales son las que más te han gustado? Besotes! Mer.

Marni Collection for H&M

JUST A REMINDER!!!

As you all might know, Marni will be selling a special collection for H&M this thursday, March 8th.

Aren’t these the best deals?? When haute couture designers make special collections for not overpriced stores? H&M has already been the spot, for designers such as Karl Lagerfield, Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Jimmy Choo, Versace and now Marni to show their artistic skills to the public.

Here is part of the collection! Now, try to make your decisions on which items you’re gonna buy, or at least fight for!!! I’ve been to two of these specials sales on H&M, and people become crazy, and stand in front of the line reeeeeaaally early! Good luck People! Hope you all get what you want!

Online Shopping: a nonstop growth

After reading the feedback of my followers and readers on the last post, which provided me with many others online stores with good prices, I have decided to show you how the ecommerce industry has grown and will keep growing in the following years.

This article by Mashable gives us some statistics about the industry and shows us that “U.S online retail sales are expected to reach $278.9 billion in 2015” and “the number of online buyers in Europe is expected to grow from 157 million to 205 million by 2015”! Isn’t that crazy? Many people have changed their habits by staying home and shopping online instead of going out to shop, and having to check out every store for its sales and promotions! Now it’s over! How easy is it to find the perfect dress online? Ok readers, I know what some of you might be thinking… choosing the right size is not easy and doesn’t always fit once you receive your awaited package! But it’s fine; normally most of the ecommerce stores have free shipping if you want to return an item.  But isn’t it much more convenient to shop from home? At least, that’s my point of view!

        

Of course, from time to time I love going out shopping with my friends, with my mother, sister or even by myself! However, most of the time when I’ve gone into a store and they did’t have my size, I’ve been told to order it online and receive it within a week… I DON’T LIKE THAT!! If I go to the store I want to get out from there with my purchase! If not, I’d rather stay home and shop that item myself and maybe do some research and find that same item for a cheaper price.

Besides, what about all the different devices we have to shop online!? We don’t even need to stay home! We can be everywhere! Here is a snapshot of my iPhone, where I have all the ecommerce apps that I use daily.

As I said in the previous post, I check those top websites almost daily, but these websites have the best apps to shop on your device. They make it easy and simple! Just click twice…and….BOUGHT!!! Yesssss, you have to be careful and control yourself if you don’t want to end in bankruptcy! Hahahaha..

Top websites to shop deals!

Today I’ve decided to talk about the top websites I go to when I want to find good deals:

Groupon: I always check Groupon. I think it is the best website to find online daily deals. Every day they offer a deal that normally is 50% off of the original price.  Another good service of Groupon is the “Groupon Now!”. A service that offers Groupon users to buy discounts in restaurants in a certain area (the user chooses the area). I’ve recently bought 2 movie theatres tickets for $7 and a 30 pack yoga classes for $20 in a studio in Boston. I really recommend you to check it daily! Another good thing about Groupon is that they have an application for smart phones, so it is much easier to check the deals.

Livingsocial: This website is good when you are looking for hot deals around your area. It is very similar to Groupon. It has the restaurant immediate discounts as well as daily deals.

RueLaLa:  This website is one of my favorites to buy clothes! Every day they have new brands and new products. I love it because they offer luxury brand clothes and accessories for a much cheaper price of the original one! I have made several purchases from this site and I’ve never had any problem. I’ve bought shoes/t-shirts/jackets from well-known brands and they have been one of my best purchases!

Gilt: This websites was one of the first websites to offer luxury brand clothes at a lower price. Also, it offers different daily brands. I have also used gilt but I think that they are more expensive than RueLaLa. They offer more luxury brand than others, and sometimes even if its on sales, it is still expensive!!

Ideeli: another website like Gilt and Ruelala. Not as well-known as them but still, it has interesting sales.

Hautelook : Similar to Ruelala and Ideeli, Hautelook also offers daily fashion deals.

 

Mis dias al sol: The perfect website to find the most trendy bikinis! They have amazing swimsuits and very exclusive designs! This website has been on for a year more or less, and has already appeared in several magazines! It’s an spanish website but I am pretty sure they ship to the US and maybe everywhere! Start thinking about the summer and be the first to show your amazing body on a SAAV, Onda de Mar, Vitamin A, Maaji or Salinas bikini!!! Can’t wait for the summerrrr!!!!!

The outnet: a friend of mine just showed me this website which is a discount designed fashion outlet. It has deals up to 70%! If you are looking for the perfect dress for a wedding or special event this is the place to surf.

Etsy: My sister showed me this website where all users can sell and buy handcrafts, vintage stuffs and supplies. There are many interesting and cutie things to check out.

Nastygal: Last but not least, Nastygal an e-commerce website where they sale rocky and 70`s clothes. I have never bought anything from here, but it is not going to take too long until I do! They have cool clothes for good prices, and they always have sales in the website.

These are my Top websites that I check almost every day and that I think are the most useful in a daily basis.
